Q: Can I install the underlay over ceramic tiles?

A: Yes! Our 1.8mm LVT underlay can be installed over most hard, flat surfaces like ceramic tiles, (we recommend grout lines, if not level to the tiles has a feather finish applied first) hardwood floors, chipboard or laminate . Just make sure to clean the floor properly before laying the underlay.

Q: Will the underlay fix larger floor imperfections?

A: For larger imperfections (over 2mm), we recommend using a self-levelling compound before installing the underlay. The underlay is great for minor bumps and cracks, but it cannot fix major subfloor issues.

Q: Do I need to use adhesive with the underlay?

A: No adhesive is required to install the underlay. Simply lay the underlay flat and, if desired, use flooring tape to secure the seams. The underlay has an adhesive top layer to fix your flooring to it.
